Most of the device launches in Nepal after months of international launch. It is primarily due to the small market and a low number of consumers. However, in the recent times, many companies have taken interest in Nepali market. There are some of the smartphones that will launch sooner in Nepal. Today we are presenting you the list of smartphones that are ready to be launched in Nepal.
We’ve talked a lot about this device. MI MIX is supposed to be a gateway for the future of smartphones. The bezel-less design is really stunning and looks amazing. The phone was launched in last October. Vatsal Impex, which is the authorised distributor of Nepal is finally launching this device in Nepal. With the device not launching in India, this is very great news for Nepali users. Since Xiaomi has planned to launch only one flagship smartphone per year in India which is MI 5, Xiaomi won’t be launching MI MIX in India. But Vatsal Impex is making this happen in Nepal. The phone sports bezel-less 6.4-inch PIS LCD display. The bezel is absent in the upper part with a camera on the bottom side. The phone is powered by latest high-end CPU, Snapdragon 821. The phone comes in two variants -one with 128 GB ROM and 4 GB RAM and another with 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM.
The MI Mix features 16 MP,f/2.0 rear camera and 5 MP front camera which is great for photography. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the rear side of the device. The phone is fueled by whopping 4400 mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charging 3.0. So, this device is perfect for those smartphone lovers who want to use high-end, futuristic smartphone with lots of great specs. The body, however, is a fingerprint magnet and comes with only one case.
The base version of the smartphone costs $516 and high-end version will cost you $590. The price will definitely be higher than international standards, so we’ll have to wait until Vatsal Impex Officially launches the device in Nepal.
2Huawei Mate 9
Huawei Mate 9 was a promising smartphone from Huawei. The phone is set to launch in Nepal. It sports 5.9-inch FHD IPS LCD display with 373 PPI pixel density.
The phone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset, which is the latest from Huawei. The device contains 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM. You can expand the storage up to 256Gb via microSD card. The Mate 9 runs Android Nougat 7.0.
The phone sports dual Leica Optics camera. The dual camera includes 20MP (Monochrome) + 12MP(RGB) with f/2.2 aperture, Laser AF, dual-tone LED Flash and OIS. The rear camera is capable of shooting 4K videos. It also sports 8MP with an aperture of f/1.9front camera that provides great selfie photos.
The phone also has IR blaster and a fingerprint sensor which is capable of unlocking the device in 0.4 seconds. The phone is fueled by 4000 mAh battery with quick Charging. The cost of this device in the international market is 699 Euros which roughly maker Rs. 83,000. Since the release date is yet not confirmed the cost of devices cannot be said.
3Samsung C9 Pro
Samsung C9 Pro launched last October and Samsung confirmed that this device will be launched in Nepal before the end of the February. Read More about this device here.
Samsung C9 pro sports 6-inch full HD Super AMOLED, 2.5D curved glass display with pixel density of 367ppi. Upgrade to Nougat is not mentioned as this device runs Android Marshmallow. Corning Gorilla Glass acts as screen protection. The device is powered by Snapdragon 653 chipset with 6GB of RAM. This is the first Samsung device to possess 6 GB of RAM. The internal storage spaces 64 GB with the memory expandable up to 256Gb via microSD card.
Both the front and back camera has 16MPsensor with aperture f f/1.9. The camera is capable of shooting 1080p videos at the frame rate of 30 fps(frame per second). The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the Home button. The device is fueled by 4000 mAh battery which is sure to last long.
The release date and price are not fixed and could be different as mentioned. The expected price of Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is NRs. 60,000 or less.
OnePlus 3T is one of the flagship killer smartphone and a pioneer in smartphones community. OnePlus 3T is an upgrade to the previous OnePlus 3. It carries 6GB of RAM. The device sports 5.5-inch FHD Optic AMOLED display and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 821 chipset which is upgrade version to the Snapdragon 820 of the previous version- OnePlus 3.
The device comes with two variants with 64GB and 128GB internal memory. It runs Android Marshmallow out of the box which is upgradable to Android Nougat. OnePlus 3T also features 1 16MP, f/2.0 sensor on both front and back. The rear ones privileged with PDAF, OIS and LED Flash.
The phone is available in two different colours- Gunmetal and Soft gold colour. The sensors present are Proximity, Fingerprint, Accelerometer and Gyro sensor. The phone has a feature called dash charging which charges 60% of your battery in 30 minutes.
The cost of the base version of OnePlus 3T is $439 and $479 for the high-end version. The market price of OnePlus 3 was Rs. 49,000. So, the price of OnePlus 3T will definitely be higher. The price of OnePlus 3T will be less than NRs. 60,000.
5HTC Desire 10
HTC Desire 10 Pro sports 5.5-inch IPS LCD Display with the dimension of 156.5 x 76 x 7.9 mm weighing 165 grammes. The full HD display resolution is packed with 400-pixel density. Corning Gorilla Glass protects the screen well.
The phone is powered by Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 processor and Mali-T860MP2 GPU. It runs Android Marshmallow out of the box. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
HTC Desire 10 Pro sports 20MP sensor camera f/2.2 aperture with laser autofocus and dual-LED dual tone flash. The selfie camera consists 13MP sensor with the aperture of f/2.2 with HDR auto mode. The cameras are capable of shooting Full HD videos with 30 fps frame rate.
The sensor included in the phone are fingerprint, compass, gyro, accelerometer and Proximity. The device is fueled by 3000 Li-Ion battery.
The price of HTC 10 Desire is approximately Rs.50,000 or under.
6ZTE Blade V8
This smartphone was launched at CES 2017 and is the successor to ZTE Blade V7. This is midrange smartphone and is expected to be available under Rs. 30,000 in Nepal by the end of February.
The phone sports 5.2-inch IPS LCD Display with 424 PPI pixel density. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 435 chipset and an octa-core CPU. It runs Android Nougat (v7.0) out of the box with MiFavor UI 4.2 on top.
The camera is 13MP+2MOP dual on the rear side. The features available are auto-focus and LED flash. The phone also features 13MP front camera which is perfect for selfie and video chat. The cameras can shoot full HD videos at 30 fps. It has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
Gionee P7 is a budget smartphone from Gionee that was launched in India few week ago. The phone is soon expected to step into Nepali market.
Gionee P7 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD Display with the resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with 294 ppi. It has a Quad-core processor clocked at the speed of 1.3 GHz. The display is protected by Soda Lime Glass. The phone has 2GB of RAM. It runs Android Marshmallow with Amigo 3.2 UI on top. It has 16 GB of onboard storage expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card.
It houses 8-megapixel rear-facing camera along with LED Flash. Up front, it has 5MP selfie camera. Connectivity options include Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.0 and FM Radio. It also supports dual SIM Cards. Gionee P7 is backed up by 2,300 mAh battery.
This device is expected to be price Rs. 16,000 and around in Nepal. It was launched in India for Rs. 9,999. The specs look a bit downgraded as far the price is concerned. So, if Gionee wants this handset to sell nicely in Nepal, it must sure decrease its price.
